Vi informo, inoltre, che il Presidente della circoscrizione di Adhamiy, Hashim Ibrahiem Hassan ci ha inviato un progetto di "ricostruzione di un tessuto sociale". E' in pari tempo un progetto politico e un aiuto umanitario. Per noi è decisamente un progetto politico poiché rientra nel nostro progetto di presenza di corpi civili di pace in Iraq. Abbiamo superato la dura prova delle elezioni. Ci troviamo in grosse difficoltà per la formazione del nuovo governo ... perché l'assemblea nazionale non si è ancora riunita. La legge marziale viola i diritti umani in Iraq e il governo l'ha prorogata per un altro mese.I prigionieri nei campi Bucca e di Abu Ghraib sono diventati 150.000 (centocinquantamila). E' una cosa molto triste. Visiteremo le prigioni e spero di poter far giungere i loro reclami e le loro richieste al campo Americano. Sono molto felice delle buone notizie circa Giuliana. La settimana scorsa ho inviato un messaggio in Italia e ai suoi genitori per comunicare che sarebbe stata rilasciata in breve tempo. I nostri sforzi hanno ottenuto il suo rilascio, grazie a Dio. Mi sono congratulato con i suoi colleghi, amici e genitori. Ho saputo che è stata ferita dalle truppe Americane e potremo servirci di questo per chiedere al governo italiano il ritiro dell'esercito. We have many difficulties in establishing the new government because the national assembly still had not met till now. Marshal Law abuses the human rights in Iraq and the government extended it one more month. The prisoners in Bucca and Abo-Ghareeb camps became (150.000) one hundred and fifty thousand. It's a sad thing. We will visit the prisons and I hope that we will try to send their claims and complaints to the American camp. I am very happy for the good news about Miss. Giuliana. I sent a message last week to Italy and her parents that she will be released soon. Our effort succeeded to release her, thank God. I congratulate all her colleagues, friends and parents. Berretti Bianchi did an extra effort supporting the program of releasing Giuliana. I heard that she was injured by American troops and we can use this with Italian government to withdraw their army. Your city can participate in this program. These are the necessary needs of the schools in Baghdad. We have 1200 primary schools in Baghdad most of them need those items.
